I've had the following error message after trying to upload a gpx file. Hi,

It looks like your GPX file Dukes_clough.gpx with the description Public footpath missing from map and no tags. failed to import. Here is the error:

0 points parsed ok. Do they all have lat, lng, alt, timestamp? More information about GPX import failures and how to avoid them can be found at: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/GPX_Import_Failures

After opening the link, it's full of technobabble I don't understand. The one bit I did understand was to try gpxeditor, which I duly downloaded. The track shows up there, in the correct place geographically, but now I'm stuck. Exactly what am I supposed to do with it now, and am I doing the right thing anyway?

If don't mind upload the file somewhere that supports file sharing someone else can have a look at it and see what's wrong.

Have you successfully uploaded a trace from your SatMap to OSM previously? If so maybe this particular trace was not terminated properly because of a power or memory running out. A GPX file need timestamps to successfully upload to OSM as a witness to their validity. Timestamps give some proof that the gpx was NOT created with mapping software that could be copied from a licensed map offending copyright. If you open a GPX trace with a text editor you will see a list of Lats and Longitudes and the time the points were recorded. This question and my answer may help you. https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/5993/repairing-a-gpx-trace
