Since new year 2020, I get Error 429 (Too many requests) to access tile server in OSM via Mapinfo pro. Will the rejection to connect be expired? How may I get around this issue and access the map tiles of OSM? Thanks.

You might want to go get 17, it has a build in map.upper right conner,

I mean upper left conner

This is likely a side effect of the replacing Apache with nginx (for the tile caches) which is slightly more stricter with rejecting request that have missing required headers. With other words you probably need to get this fixed by your software vendor.

A little birdy has indicated that MapInfo Pro 16.0.4 might fix your issue.

I'm having the same issue.

And 16.0.4 didn't solve the problem.

Actually not even the latest MapInfo 2019...I was hopping to have this solved with this new version.

Does anyone know the missing headers?

Can we edit the xml file in order to add them and solve the problem?

Thanks. Nuno Seixas

Better contact Pitney Bowes to ask them to fix the bug in their software. The problem is caused by them not observing OSM's Tile Usage Policy, so they need to fix it.
