This shouldn't be much of a problem. You can for example just include the URL of the umap page in an iframe. There are other websites that have done that, for example Spanish Walking. Have a look in that page's code to see how it is done if you are unfamiliar with it. umap.openstreetmap.fr should work. Other installations of umap might prevent the page from running in a frame. Update: I now also found what you were originally looking for I think. In the map settings side panel (right side) go to user interface options and make the embed control visible (always or hidden). Then you get a share icon on the left hand side of the screen with the embedding code. answered 14 May '19, 09:23 TZorn |
Could you elaborate a bit more what you would like to achieve? Where do you want to embed a map and to what ends?
I run a program named Community Health Maps designed to empower people working with underserved populations with open source mapping technology. I thought uMap could be a great tool for presenting community data collection online. From earlier tutorials it looked like there used to be a sharing setting in the sidebar that would provide a code snippet that could be used to embed the map into an organizational web page. I don't see that option. Is that still possible?
Now I got you. You do not try to embed a map into umap but you want to embed the umap in another website.
