I have collected Lat/Lon by GPS (spot confirmed by sextant.) This is now in a spreadsheet. How do I set points by coordinates rather than placing them on the photo map? After placing by coordinates, can I then adjust if it is necessary to correct GPS and/or Celestial Nav errors (generally a function of Ho error.) |

For the editor you are currently using ("iD"), please see the older questions To put it short (with the current aims and capabilities of iD): to work with coordinates it is better to switch to another editor. My personal recommendation is JOSM. With JOSM you can input a new point by using coordinates and adjust it afterwards by dragging with the mouse pointer. |

If you have the Waypoints ( co ords) in your GPS or other file just display them with iD. the jpeg should show you how. 2
With JOSM you can also import from a comma separated value (CSV) file. Not sure if a plug-in is needed for that or not but if a plug-in is needed I must have it installed. Assuming the original poster has the data in a spreadsheet that might be the easiest way to get it into an editor.
