When I view the map with Google Chrome on my Android smartphone, it is overlaid with blue lines and circles. How can I get rid of them? It doesn't happen on my laptop.

It sounds as if you have the data layer turned on (drawer on the right hand side of the OSM website), simply de-check it and all will be fine.

Thanks very much, that did the trick. In fact I had tried to un-tick this box several times, but it seemed to keep re-ticking itself. Fat finger trouble possibly.

The display can be very laggy depending on machine/browser/etc if you have a larger area displayed with many objects. Happens to us all.
