I know that in uMap, objects in map layers can be exported to kml, gpx or geojson. But I've not found a way to export the complete map/Layer (including the map properties/settings).

Basically I would like to make a backup of the maps and layers I created without loosing the map settings. The only thing I could do is to clone a map. But that's not my preferred solution. Thanks for commenting.

There's a proposal to do just that. It's not possible through the user-interface right now though.

sounds promising. Thanks for the hint and for working on that solution.
