Hello. I'm viewing the map of Kiev, and there are two variants of object names - in Ukrainian language (by default) and in Russian (name:ru). How I can see the Russian names in my web-browser? Or is there any way to override default language settings? I'm trying also maperetive with the option "text : @any([[name:ru]], name)" at the configuration file - but no chance, the names is still Ukrainian, not Russian. asked 29 Mar '11, 11:15 roxton |
See also http://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/1828/how-do-i-change-language-of-a-map which mentions the multilingual options at toolserver.org, such as http://toolserver.org/~osm/locale/ru.html answered 29 Mar '11, 11:57 EdLoach ♦ |
On openstreetmap.org there is no map in Russian language, but the default name for every feature is rendered (the value in the name-tag). I don't know if there is a rendering in Russian available, but it is possible. If there is none, you could make one yourself. There is already a similar question here, with code for maperitive, where the answer suggests you might have to "(make sure it's a tab indent and not spaces)". answered 29 Mar '11, 11:34 dieterdreist |
